Ile Ife Crisis: Afenifere Accuses Police Of Great Bias


The issue surrounding the clash between the Yoruba’s and the Hausa community in Ile Ife, Osun State that claimed the lives of forty persons has called for further investigation by the afenifere socio cultural group.
Speaking with newsmen in Lagos, the head of media committee of the Afenifere, Mr. Abiodun Sowumi, said a victim was decapitated which lead to the spontaneous reaction of the crisis.

Sowumi further said that the Police PRO could not even name the king involved because the case has not been thoroughly investigated.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Police Force, Public Relations Officer PRO Jimoh Moshood, denied the accusation, saying that those who were arrested were found at the scene of the crisis.
