Man arrested on his son’s behalf

A 60-year-old man, Amos Oyemade, who stood surety for his son has been arrested following the jumping of bail by his son, Sesan Oyemade.

He is being charged for obstruction of justice by the Igbosere Magistrates’ Court, Lagos.

The prosecutor, Inspector Steven Molo said Mr. Oyemade stood surety for his son, Sesan Oyemade, who was charged with stealing fifty-four million naira.

Molo however, said the man had promised the police that he would produce his son whenever he was needed until the final determination of the case, after allowing his son to travel outside the country.
